Filling Application

With aging, some changes occur in our skin. Especially with the relaxation and water loss in our connective tissue, our wrinkles become more pronounced, and sagging of our skin, especially in the chin and cheek area, occurs. Filling injection largely eliminates these symptoms by replacing the connective tissue losses that occur with aging. In this way, we also delay our aging process.

Today, hyaluronic acid, which is normally already present in our connective tissue and contributes to the tension of our skin, is used as a filler. Hyaluronic acid is a safe substance that has received FDA approval and is not of animal origin. There is no risk of allergy in people who are not particularly allergic. Hyaluronic acid is not a permanent filler. Since it is a natural substance, it disappears by itself within 6-12 months. Since it is already in our normal skin structure; After the application, a natural image emerges that does not cause any discomfort to the person.

How is filler injection applied?

The procedure is injected directly into areas with wrinkles or significant connective tissue loss with the help of fine-tipped needles. This is a very short procedure and can be applied in practice conditions.

When will the effect of the filling be seen?

It shows its effect as soon as the operation is done. Since some skin and depending on the applied area, a slight swelling will occur immediately after the application, the net effect of the filling, which is accompanied by the regression of the swelling, occurs within 1-2 hours.

Is anesthesia required before the procedure?

Since the procedure is performed with a needle, our patients are waited for about 30-45 minutes by applying local anesthetic creams beforehand. However, very small applications can be performed even without anesthesia. Apart from this, since the lip area contains quite a lot of nerve endings, if necessary, needle anesthesia can be applied through the mouth, which is applied by dentists.

Before the filler injection is made, drugs such as blood thinner aspirin and vitamin E must not be used. After the applications while using these drugs, we may encounter severe bruising.

Application purposes of filler injection:

– Filling thin and thick lines

– lines on forehead

– Lines between eyebrows

– Eye rim lines

– Nasolabial lines (deep lines extending from the nose to the corner of the mouth)

– Jaw lines

– Fine lines on the neck

– Volumizing

– Filling the lips

– Plumping of sunken cheeks

– Filling the jaw structure that is far behind

– Filling the sunken under-eye groove

– Filling the sunken temple area

– Filling the sunken areas on the hand

Other application areas:

– Brow lift

– Shaping the nose profile image

– Removing under-eye bruises

– Filling pits and scars caused by acne or any reason on the skin

– Clarifying the lip contour

– To give moisture and volume to the skin that has lost moisture and dense fine wrinkles

How long does the effect of the filler last?

Filling injection lasts up to 12 months thanks to today's technology. However, this period can be reduced to 6-8 months in areas where mimics are made. With regular applications, the permanent duration of the filling can be extended.

Complications that may develop after filler injection:

Since filler injection is a method applied with a needle, a slight swelling and redness may occur after the application. However, these effects do not always occur in all regions. For example, since the under-eye skin is thinner, the swelling is a little more; swelling in the nasolabial lines occurs much less. The thickness of the patient's skin is also a determining factor in the emergence of these effects. For example, while redness almost never develops in dark-skinned people; Redness is more pronounced in people with white skin.

Both swelling and redness disappear within 1-2 hours. Sometimes bruising may develop during the application, and it takes an average of 1 week for the bruising to disappear. However, if the blood thinners mentioned above were used; bruising may persist for up to 2 weeks.

Things to consider after filling application:

– Do not take a hot bath or shower for the first 24 hours after the filling application. Again, sauna or hammam should not be entered.

– Unless the doctor specifies after the procedure, the area to be filled should not be massaged too much.

– Extreme cold or extremely hot compresses should not be applied to the treated area.

– If lip augmentation has been made, the lips should not shrink too much in the first 1-2 hours.

– Apart from these small precautions, the patient can easily continue his daily life after the application.

In which seasons should filler injection be done?

Filling injection can be done in any season of the year. Because the sun does not have any negative effect on the application.
